FEBRUARY 21, 2017: ADVANCED EDUCATIONAL TOPICS FOR CASA AND EDM VOLUNTEERS (For Volunteers Only)

6:00pm - 8:00pm

Join Education Law Center attorney Maura McInerney, Esq. for an important in-service training for CASA and EDM volunteers.  Ms. McInerney will cover education topics ranging from prompt enrollment to special education to school discipline, including the education rights of youth who are living in RTF’s (residential treatment facilities.)  Come with your questions! 

This training will take place on Tuesday, February 21st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Friends Center, 1501 Cherry Street, Philadelphia, PA in the Lucretia Mott conference room on the first floor.

FEBRUARY 28, 2017: EDUCATIONAL ISSUES POTPOURRI 2017 BROWN BAG LUNCH SERIES KICK-OFF (For Volunteers Only)

Do you have a bunch of burning questions about the educational issues in your cases?  Do you have some ideas about educational topics that you would like to see addressed at upcoming workshops and trainings at CASA?  Join us for our 2017 brown bag lunch series kick-off on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Triangle conference room in the Exchange, 2nd Floor at the Friends Center, 1501 Cherry Street, Philadelphia, PA.  This is open to both CASA and EDM volunteers.

The facilitator for our educational brown bag lunch series will be EDM volunteer Amy Eisen.  Ms. Eisen has been serving students with special needs, their families and teachers for over 35 years. Her professional background includes pediatric occupational therapist, certified school psychologist and, most recently, school administrator.

May 10, 2017: CASA of Philadelphia's 10th Birthday Party Benefit Dinner (Open to the Public)

6:00pm - 9:00pm

CASA of Philadelphia's 10th Birthday Party Benefit Dinner will take place on May 10th, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Pyramid Club. This upscale and festive event will celebrate the organization's "10th Birthday" and will honor key supporters over the past decade. The evening program will include a cocktail reception and silent auction, dinner and dessert catered  by the Pyramid Club and a short presentation by CASA's leaders and event honoree.
